The recent ruling by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission that
discounted holidays must be made available to clients without any
insurance tie-ins is causing a small flutter among our brokers and
agents.


The concern is that customers will still just accept the travel agency
policy, especially as some are "throwing in the cover for free" (PB
December p3).


Surely customers should buy products and services from a specialised
trained provider who understands the product fully and is aware of any
importa
