Insurance premiums for both motor and home insurance remain flat for the fourth quarter in succession, according to the latest British Insurance Premium Index from the AA. The Index, which tracks 1500 home and car risks, shows that buildings insurance fell marginally following a rise during the last three months of 2003. Contents insurance premiums rose by just over half a per cent. The average shop-around premium for car insurance is less than £486, a fall of nearly £10.
