The Solicitors Indemnity Fund has been subject to renewed opposition,largely from the recently-formed Millennium Group.
This group of smaller provincial lawyers recently sent out a statement to
other members, accompanied by a ballot form, urging them to vote for the
right to insure themselves on the open market. The results of the ballot
are due to be announced by the 12 May.
Elizabeth Mullins, claims managing director of SIF, said she was concerned
by the implications of the Group's action: "The
