St Paul International Insurance, the main provider of insurance tothe UK's train operating companies, has written to the Office of the Rail
Regulator seeking changes to the existing industry agreement on business
interruption risks.
Under the Claims Allocation and Handling Agreement, there is no right of
subrogation against other parties for this kind of risk. St Paul has
stated that this opinion is becoming untenable.
