Andrew Paddick, director general of the Institute of InsuranceBrokers, will soon be asking brokers to put their hands in their pockets
to fund the launch of an Internet-based trading facility.
As with Broker Direct, Mr Paddick is planning set up a company that is
largely broker-owned and managed. He is proposing that the operation will
provide its broker shareholders with the technology to offer quotations
and full encrypted payment facilities on their own website.
