Sirius Financial Systems is launching a commercial lines portal,available via all Sirius back office systems.
Stargate aims to link together insurers' extranets, allowing brokers to
send information directly from their back office to the insurers', cutting
out multiple keying. Sirius hopes to provide its brokers with a single
access point through which they can get market quotes, place new business,
make mid-term adjustments and report and track claims.
The system will go into pilot with a number
