The Association of British Insurers, in a report titled Financial Risks of Climate Change, haas warned that "climate change could increase the costs of flooding in the UK almost 15-fold by the 2080s under high-emissions scenarios, leading to potential total losses of more than £22bn." The report calls for action on climate change and said effective flood management in the UK could save 80% of the costs of flood damage.
