Wholesalers and their sub-brokers are being invited to pilot an
online schemes portal.

The site, www.ebrokerxchange.co.uk, allows the placing of schemes-based
policies via the internet. Designed to be used by either brokers or the
end client, it offers a broker-to-broker transaction page, online
e-commerce page and a searchable directory. It can also be tied in to
brokers' existing web pages.

About 25 brokers have already signed up to trial the system. Pilot brokers
receive the system for free but

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
