I read with interest the Roundtable Sentiment Survey debate in Professional Broking's September supplement, Laying it on the line. I would like to comment on one of the points made by Eric Galbraith, chief executive at the British Insurance Brokers' Association, with reference to imarket.

Galbraith [who said that brokers won't be able to put their own products on it and it is of limited application] will no doubt be pleased to hear that brokers are now able "to put their own products on it", as brokers using imarket are able to access a Schemes Library on the portal, an alphabetically organised and growing list of available schemes.

These schemes, from brokers for brokers, are classified according to the trade or business type they cover, and broker contact details are provided as a minimum requirement.

The list is growing by the month and is proving to be a valuable library resource, ensuring that brokers are able to get even more from imarket.
