Employment levels in the insurance sector are expected to rise within
the first quarter of 2000, with one in four companies planning to take on
more staff, according to Manpower's latest quarterly survey of UK
employers.


The report shows that 24% of companies within the insurance sector are
planning to hire more staff in the first quarter of this year, compared to
23% in 1999. The sector has also retained its position as fifth in the job
prospects league table. Out of a total of 19 sectors, 12
