The purely organic growth of Ward Evans continues to develop with pace. Martin Ward tells Catherine Tennant about the next phase in its evolution.

Spotting opportune moments and thinking outside the box are key to
the remarkable growth of Ward Evans, the UK's third largest independent
broker. Since its beginnings in March 1992, its commission income has
grown from around £120,000 to about £12.6m, its annual turnover from £1.5m
to a forecasted £70m by the end of November, and its number of staff from
