Defaqto's fifth annual travel insurance report shows that UK holidaymakers are continuing to waste up to £235m every year buying travel insurance from tour operators rather than shopping around. Defaqto has calculated that if holidaymakers purchased one of the eight 'best buy' single trip policies identified in its report they could save an average of 55%. The single trip best buy companies are: Debenhams; Direct Travel; Esure; Marks & Spencer; Nationwide; Sainsbury's Bank; Travelplan Direct and
