Five million UK adults hard hit by economic climate
Over five million adults have been hard hit by an economic downtown that is on the brink of officially becoming a recession, according to new consumer research from Mintel.
This figure translates to one in every ten British adults, with research suggesting that this number will increase. An additional 16% have claimed they are worried about their long term financial security.Toby Clark, head of financial research at Mintel, said: "So far, most people are coping fairly well with the downturn. But for an unfortunate few the slowing economy is already causing them real financial problems.
