Commercial motor has been the area which has seen the most action this month. This may be to do with the belief that rates are finally experiencing some kind of hardening in this arena. Aviva has decided to dip its toe back into the telematics pool with motor fleet but its fingers are obviously still feeling that burning sensation as it is not ready to return to the consumer domain, yet.

Axa and Allianz are also trying to distinguish themselves in this market with both claiming to have listened to brokers and reacted with the launch of add-on services. Axa has created a new commercial repair network while Allianz has unveiled Pro-Motor Rescue, a product for its retail brokers which provides legal expenses and breakdown cover.

Also throwing its hat in the ring is Markerstudy, with the purchase of motor fleet broker Blagrove. The insurer now plans to build upon this by rolling out
