Full commission disclosure seems to be back on the agenda and its supporters appear to be coming from the most unlikely sources.

We have worked for many years under a regime where commission was disclosed upon request. This was the situation under the IBRC, but was first introduced under the Association of British Insurers' code of conduct. It was adopted by the General Insurance Standards Council and then became embodied in the Financial Services Authority (FSA) rulebook.
