The commission time bomb

Last month, this column focused on prospects for the market in 2008, and touched on the issues surrounding mandatory commission disclosure. At the time of writing, the latter was high on the industry's agenda but, since then, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) has decided not to mandate commission disclosure. Instead, it confirmed that it would be keeping the matter under review.
