I must take issue with Steve Hook's letter - 'Consumers are also accountable' - in the March issue of Insurance Age.
It appears that he believes online traders can sell any kind of rubbish policies, as consumers can cancel their policy if it does not meet their requirements. He also goes on to say that details of excesses are not made available until a client is well into the sales procedure is irrelevant, and that clients are sufficiently literate in insurance to understand the cover they are
