QBE picks up Ensign's Lloyd's motor arm
QBE Lloyd's subsidiary Limit has signed heads of agreement to acquire the Ensign motor business which was previously part of Limit prior to its purchase by QBE in August 2000.
Ensign motor operates principally through syndicate 980 at Lloyd's under the leadership of John Neal. The Ensign property and aviation business (syndicate 318) is not part of the transaction.Ensign currently underwrites approximately £200 million of gross premium comprising predominantly commercial motor business from the UK.
