Co-operative Insurance Services (CIS) could cut up to 35 members of staff from its motoring division following the launch of a redundancy consultation. The Manchester-based company is poised to reduce its headcount in its field-based claims team across the UK due to the extension of new technology and working practices. The insurer hopes that it can save around 10 jobs, redeploying members of staff to other areas of the business. CIS said it was not planning any further staff cuts.
