The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has issued a report highlighting numerous problems in the payment protection insurance (PPI) market. It follows an investigation in the wake of the 'super complaint' submitted by Citizens Advice last September. The report discovered poor product value, inflated profits, a lack of transparency in the sales process and real problems for consumers trying to compare and contrast the policies available across the market.
