The Towergate Partnership has acquired Your Insurance Group (Brokers) (YIG) as part of a £10m investment in developing the group's e-commerce capability. YIG's business model is based on an IT platform which integrates call centre, direct mail and internet marketing of small and medium sized insurance. The staff of 40 will be retained, and YIG's premises in Guildford will become an 'e-commerce centre for excellence' for the Towergate Group.
