A new company called Text2Insure has claimed to be the first company in the UK to sell insurance via SMS text messaging through mobile phones, promising to provide quotes within 60 seconds. The company, which is backed by Hastings Insurance Services, has already started selling Hastings Direct branded insurance and plans to expand into other forms of general insurance in the future.
