Motor Insurers' Bureau announces record vehicle seizure

The Motor Insurers' Bureau announced that a record 50,000 uninsured vehicles had been seized by police using Motor Insurance Database (MID) data in 2006, with 16 commercial policyholder files being submitted to the CPS. In addition it revealed that compliance campaigns had resulted in a 28% reduction in unpopulated MID commercial policies.
