Flash floods in North Yorkshire have caused domestic damage worth around £10m in one town alone, according to a loss adjuster on the scene.

Mike Bond, leader of a team of Ashworth Mairs Group (AMG) adjusters sent to the market town of Helmsley after the torrential rain which caused flooding across the north, described the scene as 'horrendous' but 'returning to normal'.
