QBE has restructured its national underwriting centres and streamlined its product offering in a move to eradicate internal competition from within its regional operations.
The underwriting centres in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Chelmsford and Stafford will now come under UK National, QBE, headed up by Terry Whittaker, and will write casualty, property and motor. Previously, QBE had five independent offerings in the regions.
