Axa's cognitive interviewing anti-claims fraud initiative is back on track after suffering a setback with its outsourced providers.

The insurer launched a successful pilot, outsourced to Aquilo in partnership with VFM, earlier in the year. This looked at over 1,000 claims files related to accidental damage and loss claims for household insurance policies and compared it to a similar-sized sample between September 2003 and January this year. Some 35% of all claims were withdrawn, repudiated or not
