The Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) announced proposals for speedier updating of information onto the Motor Insurance Database (MID). Following research into how the MID can best support the enforcement regime recommended by last year's Greenaway Report into uninsured driving, the ABI and MIB have proposed that motor insurance details for private motor business should be updated onto the database within seven days at most instead of the current 14 day
