RSA hits out at Government flood plans

Royal & SunAlliance (RSA) has expressed disappointment at the Government’s response to the industry’s call for improved flood defence funding.

"We are very disappointed that the £800m earmarked for flood risk management will not come into effect until 2010. The severe flooding events of this summer highlights the need for this increased investment to come on stream as soon as possible in order to minimise the risk of a repeat of these floods,” said Alan Gairns, property development manager at RSA .
