Momentum has slowly been building up within the Lloyd's market - while it commands a significant presence and a global reputation to boot, it has never been recognised as a market leader in innovative change and electronic dexterity.

However, Lloyd's has started to embrace the idea of electronic trading, with a growing number of electronic solutions emerging. Other initiatives, such as business process reform, the recent web-based recruitment portal and the new additions to the London Market
