SSP says there is “disconnect” between service expectations and reality

SSP CEO Laurence Walker speaks out and says that increased scrutiny from the FCA was timely.

SSP chief executive Laurence Walker has admitted that there is a gap between what software houses can deliver and what brokers expect in terms of disaster recovery and business continuity services.

Walker said in a statement: "There is a disconnect between market expectations and the reality of the facilities provided by software vendors when it comes to DR [disaster recovery] and Business Continuity."

His comments came following a meeting hosted by the British Insurance Brokers' Association
