FSA goes for former Zurich chief as new FSCS chairman
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has appointed a new chairman of the board of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
Lawrence Churchill, who will hold the position for three years, will take up his appointment on 1 April 2012, succeeding David Hall.
Mr Churchill is currently the chairman of the National Employers Savings Trust and is the former chief executive of UK, Irish and International Life at Zurich Financial.
He has also held senior roles in Unum, NatWest life and investments and Hambro Life/Allied Dunbar Assurance and was appointed a Commander of the British Empire in the New Year’s Honours list in
