Pleural plaques Scottish Bill 'arbitrary'

Charl Cronje, partner at consulting actuaries Lane Clark & Peacock LLP, said: The Bill is unhelpful for insurers who thought they had legal finality on pleural plaques claims and now face a return to uncertainty. The Bill arbitrarily deems pleural plaques to be 'a personal injury and 'not negligible' and simply overrides the logic of the House of Lords judgment.
