The industry is picking up speed over its desire for employers' liability reform but it could be too little too late, for the next few parliamentary sessions at least.
The insurance industry, largely in the shape of the British InsuranceBrokers' Association and the Association of British Insurers, has
dramatically upped the ante in its campaign to persuade the government to
review the current system of employers' liability insurance.
The ABI, in particular, is working hard to involve key interest groups
with the campaign. Trade unions and trade associations representing the
high-risk industries suffering most. They have formed an uneasy alliance
with the ABI
