Pen Underwriting has teamed up with Hadron UK Insurance for the first time in a capacity deal for the thatched and personal leisure property risks market, Insurance Age can reveal.

Coming into effect on 1 September the agreement will enable Pen to write a further £50m of gross written premium over the next three years.

According to its website, Pen’s thatch owners home insurance is backed by Aviva.

The upcoming proposition covers thatched homes, beach huts, touring and static caravans, chalets and park homes in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man – with all eligible properties also benefiting from Flood Re capability.
