Jason Storah on Aviva walking away on pricing, but not from brokers
Aviva’s commercial book shrank year-on-year, but only “marginally” in the heartlands of brokers’ traditional business, UK and Ireland general insurance CEO Storah told Insurance Age.
In its half-year results released today, UK commercial gross written premium was down 4% at £1.93bn, however this included the likes of Global Corporate and Specialty and Lloyd’s numbers.

While declining to give precise GWP figures, Storah confirmed across areas led by managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer Dave Martin that the picture was more “benign”.
