While preparing to leave the sector and trying to find motor insurance as a member of the public, troubling inconsistencies within the market reveal themselves. Is this the price of commoditisation?
Happy New Year. I seem to remember that my column in January lastyear included a few predictions for 2001.
Apart from failing to predict the demise of Independent or the departure
of Andy Homer from Axa, I certainly did not predict or foresee my own
departure from the broking sector of the industry.
As some readers will know, I have parted amicably with Stuart
Alexander.
I will keep in close contact, however, as one of the things I will be
doing is risk management work for clients of the brokerage
