Avantia adds Accredited alongside Axa in new dual-capacity structure for Homeprotect

deal jigsaw pieces

Managing general agent Avantia Group has added Accredited Insurance (UK) as a new co-insurer alongside Axa creating a panel for specialist home insurance business Homeprotect.

Axa, which previously provided capacity for the whole book, renewed its agreement with Avantia last October having partnered with the MGA since 2012.

Axa keeps an 80% share under the new structure while A-rated Accredited has signed up for five years to underwrite the remaining 20%.

According to Avantia, the dual-insurer model strengthens its financial resilience and is expected “to deliver tangible benefits for customers”.
