Independent Lloyd's broker Holman's has moved its Wickford operation into its city offices.
The household underwriting operations have joined the brokers' other operations - motor fleet, liability, extended warranty, marine and professional indemnity. The administrative departments of claims, policy and accounts relocated to London in 2001. Holman's hopes the move will help improve service levels to its 5000 broker partners.

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1

Average home insurance premiums for buildings and contents cover rose by 3% to £375 in the first quarter of this year, pushing the year-on-year rise up to 19%, according to the Association of British Insurers.
