New Managing Director at NIG

RBS Insurance has announced that Charles Crawford will assume responsibility as managing director of NIG following the decision of Phil Bunker to leave in March 2004.

Commenting on his decision, Phil Bunker says: “NIG is a great business with enormous growth prospects. Now that it is part of the larger Royal Bank of Scotland Group of companies it has even greater opportunities available to it. However, for me it felt like the right time for a change. I have been with NIG for 14 years, and managing director for three, so I am ready for a new challenge.”

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1

Average home insurance premiums for buildings and contents cover rose by 3% to £375 in the first quarter of this year, pushing the year-on-year rise up to 19%, according to the Association of British Insurers.
