I refer to the Treating Customers Fairly initiative and the Financial Services Authority's December 2008 'new deadline'.
In an era of corporate governance, why is it necessary to delay the full implementation date? In 1968, when working in a claims department of one of the then smaller general business insurers, I recall a senior colleague ensuring that a widow's solicitor did not overlook the fatal accident benefit under the terms of the late husband's private motor policy.
