
Post-settlement evidence can be used to recover pay-outs

The Supreme Court has ruled that post-settlement evidence may be used to recover pay-outs where the claimant is proved to have acted fraudulently.
Zurich Insurance has welcomed the judgement, stating it is of "paramount importance to insurers who are faced with a claim they view as suspicious but cannot conclusively prove to be fraudulent".
The provider explained that the settlement of a claim pre-trial will now not prohibit pay-out from being re-examined when new evidence is revealed at a later
