Government in dog insurance law u-turn
The Government has made a u-turn on plans to force all dog owners in England and Wales to insure against their pets attacking someone.
As reported on broking.co.uk, the Government suggested the move, as part of a consultation on ammending the 1991 Dangerous Dogs Act, a week ago.
However, Environment Secretary Hilary Benn has ruled out the proposal stating that ministers did not "want to penalise" responsible owners.
In a statement, Mr Benn said: "We can rule out compulsory insurance for all dogs. The idea of compulsory insurance was something that was raised with us because of the horrific injuries some very dangerous dogs can
