RPC voices concern over new FSA proposal
Plans announced via letter could result in the regulator expanding its control over senior appointments
Concerns have been raised over plans by the Financial Services Authority's (FSA) which could result in the regulator vetting senior appointments.
This move has represented a considerable expansion of its powers to intervene in the future management of financial services companies, warned Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC).
RPC has claimed the proposals have been announced without any consultation whatsoever.
