The latest electronic data interchange (EDI) survey published by Instep has revealed a 48% increase in the volume of EDI motor insurance handled by CDL brokers over the past two years, placing the company's market share on a par with software house, Misys. Based on clients' survey returns, the results showed that between January and June 2004, CDL systems were used to write 400,000 cases of motor insurance via EDI, an 18% increase from 2003 when 340,000 cases were recorded in the same period
