Highway Insurance has revealed plans to increase its motor rates by 10% next year and expand its product offering to brokers.
At its annual broker forum, the broker-only insurer said the move was being made as it expected to see some improvement in motor rates in 2008.
Chris Hill, managing director at Highway, said: "Motor insurance in the UK is too cheap - sooner rather than later, rates will have to rise. Highway is focused on improving that insurance result through 2008, and we will be driving
