European regulations set to highlight unfair practice

New regulations coming into force could help brokers highlight unfair and aggressive practices from competitors such as direct writers and banks, following European legislation set to be implemented in the UK.

The Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (UCPD) - which will come into force in April 2008 - aims to sweep away the current legislation that governs trading standards in an effort to create a set of easy-to-understand rules. The directive will also introduce a requirement on traders to
