Sedgwick sought to transform broking in the middle market with Project Aldgate. It worked. Shona Cronin spoke to Nick Stanton about the project's award-winning success.

Nick Stanton has a rather self-satisfied air about him. But then who
can blame him, considering his company received the Royal
SunAlliance-sponsored Broking Initiative Award at this year's British
Insurance Awards?


Sedgwick earned the title for its Aldgate project, which has sought to
transform the way commercial lines business is transacted in the 'middle
market'.


Sedgwick defines middle market as UK companies having a turnover in excess
of £5m (no ceiling limit) and which purely buy transactional
