Norman Insurance has relaunched its travel product Flagship without
raising rates, in a bid to fend off competition.


Several amendments have been made to the product. These include medical
expenses increased to £5m; personal liability cover increased to £2m;
policy excess still at £30; children under 2 free, children 2-18 free
(previously 2-15), no age loadings for European holidays of less than 31
days, discounts for groups, 20% discount for deletion of
luggage/valuables/money and pre quoted

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
