Retired drivers are becoming an ever more attractive prospect for motor insurers interested in niche markets, and now, research is revealing that large numbers of this group can be reached via the internet. Andrew Newman reports.

The TV antics of errant drivers in the older age groups are surely as
scary for motor underwriters as they are for their passengers. Peak-time
television entertainment for everyone else, such drivers appear to display
little awareness of the world outside their vehicle. One frightening
