In a statement issued by French insurer Groupama, it was reported that its British business saw a drop in income over the last 12 months - going from EUR992m (£663m) in 2002 to EUR827m in 2003.
Groupama's insurance premium income amounted to EUR12.75bn, an increase of 6.8% compared with 2002.
Amid a weak economic turnaround in 2003, Groupama has confirmed good organic growth in its business units, and complimented the 'powerful' sales drive of its teams. The company will publish its full results
